Whataday!

First, I'd like to start by saying that I am super excited to see your post cards.  I am learning so much about all of you :)

I too agree that Colin Firth deserved that oscar and I too love "No Reservations," I believe it is one of the best shows on TV.

Today, I am super duper excited because I got a great deal done.  In the photos below, you will see that I first made a mess (which is exactly how I start everything) and then I made these 2 prints.  I'm not entirely convinced that they are complete yet, but I really like the direction they're going.

In my practice, I use a great deal of color and I am especially excited about the color combinations in these prints.  I think that each print probably uses every single hue on the color wheel.  I especially love the fact that the last layer, which was a dark blue, mixed with the other layers to create almost an illusion of black.  I try to never use black because it tends to flatten all of the color around it, so being able to create the illusion of black is something I'm constantly after.

I hope you're enjoying your book projects, I can't wait to see those!

Monika
