Art...

Art has been a part of my life as long as I can remember. My grandmother, who babysat us all the time, was always drawing and painting and always encouraged my sister and I to do the same. And as we got older, my mother took her love of art further and got her Masters in Art.

There where always huge paintings all over our home and garage. My mother was always working on new pieces and asking input from us all. Her passion was to get messages across, usually having to do with childrens issues. She is currently an Art professor at Modesto Junior College and continues to paint on a regular basis. She also continues to have exhibits all over the United States and around the world.

I will never forget the day I was in San Francisco and somehow got on the subject of art and my mom. A lady nearby overhead and went crazy when she heard my mothers name. I know she's great - she's my mom! but it was a real eye opener having strangers know about her and her art as well.   www.deborah-barr.com
