My mom is in Dayton OH for a solo exhibition right now. She sends me emails as she is setting up her show. Just thought I'd share them. This picture is of her putting together a wall project where she paints different things on antique lenses, then pins each individual lens to the wall where they cast shadows onto the background. The lenses in the foreground are another type of work she does thats a hanging piece with lenses.
This next photo is of one of the walls at her show along with the finished teardrop. It is hard to tell in this photo, but the long pieces are individual antique piano rolls that she paints on. These are my absolute favorite of her works. I like that they can be rolled to whatever length you want, and have the music holes punched into them. You can see more at her website http://www.deborah-barr.com/7_Piano_rolls.htm
We are all very proud of my mom :o)
